First Vienna FC delivered an impressive performance at Stadion Hohe Warte, cruising to a 3-0 win over Austria Lustenau in the 2. Liga’s Round 13.
Kelvin Boateng starred with a brilliant brace, opening the scoring in the sixth minute after receiving a pinpoint pass from Bernhard Luxbacher. Boateng calmly slotted home to give Vienna an early lead.
The in-form Ghanaian striker doubled his tally in the 24th minute. A long ball from goalkeeper Unger was cleverly flicked on by Ochs, finding Boateng, who controlled it expertly and finished with poise, putting Vienna 2-0 up.
Lustenau struggled to respond to Vienna’s pressing and creativity. As the game neared its conclusion, Gionte Diomande sealed the victory in the 83rd minute, slotting home after Edelhofer’s shot rebounded off Lustenau’s keeper.
Boateng’s two goals marked his sixth of the season in just 12 appearances, underscoring his impact on Vienna’s ascent up the league standings.
