FAR Rabat maintain top spot after holding Maniema Union in Kinshasa

Moroccan side FAR Rabat and AS Maniema Union played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, in a match corresponding to the third round of the group stage (Group B) of the CAF Champions League.

The Congolese and the home side opened the scoring through defender Exaucia Moanda in the 37th minute, before Angolan To Carnero equalized for FAR Rabat in the second half (62nd minute).

Following this draw, AS FAR solidifies its position at the top of Group B with 5 points, while Maniema Union temporarily occupies second place with 3 points.

The other match in Group B will see the second Moroccan representative in this competition, Raja Casablanca (1 point), face off against South African side Mamelodi Sundowns (2 points) on Sunday in Pretoria.

In the fourth round, AS FAR will host AS Maniema Union on January 3 at the Stade El Abdi in El Jadida.
