Juventus have released a statement to deny the signing of Arda Guler that emerged after their hacked X account on Monday falsely welcomed the Turkish International to ‘the Old Lady’s family.
Juventus English X account announced that the Italian Serie A side have signed Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler, in a statement reading, “Welcome to Juventus Arda Guler. The rising star of football is now part of the Juventus family. Ready to make history together on his new journey.”
The former Serie A champions have denied the story by releasing a legitimate statement later Monday to reveal the initial announcement on their X account is a false statement after the social media handle being hacked.
Juve’s full statement read: “Our Juventus English account has been compromised. Please ignore the false information being published on this account. We are working on the issue.”
Juve’s statement renders Guler still a Real Madrid player.
The 19-year-old Turkey international joined Madrid from Fenerbahce in July 2023 on a deal keeping him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2029, and is going nowhere for the time being.
Guler has received not many playing time at Madrid managing 291 minutes in ten matches this season.
Futball Surgery Sports understand that Real Madrid may consider selling Guler if his playing time does not increase, a situation that the player himself has make it better,
Three clubs are already monitoring Guler’s situation with Arsenal, Beyer Leverkusen seeing the Madrid midfielder as replacement for Man City-bound Florian Wirtz, and Manchester City as substitute for Kevin De Bryne, hoping to sign the Turkish next season.
